MSCHF created their most viral footwear yet, the big red boots everyone is talking about on social media. What’s so intriguing about them? Well, they strikingly resemble cartoon boots, and with their almost 3D silhouette and bright red colour, it’s certainly hard to miss. The boots are a statement piece, with a resemblance to the shoes worn by Dora the Explorer’s cartoon character Boots. Read below to explore the shoes that everyone is talking about!

MSCHF: The Big Red Boots

MSCHF Big Red Boots

The TPU red boots feature an oversized and simple silhouette reminiscent of Dora the explorer character Boots’ large, red boots and the iconic red boots featured in the Japanese animation “Astro Boy”. Although there is less detailing or patterns, the striking composition of the silhouette and radiant red colour scheme of the boot makes a statement. As stated by MSCHF on their website:

“CARTOONISHNESS IS AN ABSTRACTION THAT FREES US FROM THE CONSTRAINTS OF REALITY. IF YOU KICK SOMEONE IN THESE BOOTS THEY GO BOING!”

– MSCHF

The MSCHF big red boots will be available online from the 16th of February at a retail price of $350!

MSCHF: The Unique Footwear Brand

MSCHF is a New York-based experimental art collective known for curating viral and striking footwear.

MSCHF is no stranger to its creations going viral. The brand dropped the previously viral shoes known as “Satan sneakers” in 2021, which featured a collaboration with artist Lil Nas X as a limited edition sneaker with only 666 pairs available. Though Nike disapproved of the sneakers, they went viral and sold out within a minute of their release.
