Last May, the innovative Dior x ERL collaborative collection debuted, featuring an array of clothing pieces and accessories. Created and envisioned by the partnership of Kim Jones, the Dior creative director, and designer Eli Russel Linnetz, the founder of the eponymous brand ERL, the Spring 2023 collection, also dubbed the California couture collection, features an array of colourful pieces reflecting the relaxed nature of the Californian merged with a Parisian flare of elegance. Dior x ERL: Californian Couture Collection
The Dior X ERL collection was first available at Dover Street Market and is not available in Dior boutiques and stores where the collection can be bought.
Featured in Dior x ERL Californian couture collection are pastel-coloured jumpers and sweaters resembling the colouring of the sunset and oceans found in California. The collection also features satin suits in grey hues, fitted indigo suits, and quilted puffer coats. Accessories included in the Calfornian couture collection are reimagined Dior saddle bags in pastel colours, quilted and adorned in sequins. Most of these pieces alongside the pastel fuzzy “California Couture” sweater were showcased on the runway before its debut.

Creative Director Of Dior: Kim Jones
Kim Jones is a British designer whose visions changed the directory of the french luxury house. As the menswear creative director of Dior, the renowned designer adopted silhouettes and themes from contemporary streetwear clothing long before its popularity while also driving the force of Dior’s collaborations. Kim Jones continues to curate imaginative pieces and collaborations, making an evident mark within the Maison.
ERL: Eli Russel Linnetz
Eli Russel Linnetz is a designer known for founding the eponymous label ERL. He grew up in the Californian skater setting and has numerous creative endeavours. Previously Linnetz was known as the music video director for pop star Lady Gaga now he is more commonly known for his brand ERL, where he curates pieces that are an eclectic and innovative mix of American influences.
